Safe Area
This is an area within the trim where any text, important parts of photos, logos, and other critical parts of your design should be kept, otherwise, it may get cut off.
Trim
The final size of your label is referred to as the trim size. This is where we aim to cut your label.
Bleed
This is the area outside of the trim line that will get cut off, and while it ultimately gets removed it’s still important to the overall production of your product.
Locked information
All included information in the orange dashed frame will be locked and inserted beforehand. Don’t add any text or artwork here.
When working with patterns and colors, make sure they reach into the bleed area.

Text & line art design recommendations

Make sure all fonts are embedded/outlined/ converted to shape. In Illustrator click on the text go to Type and click on Create Outlines.
Minimum text size 4pt on light background
Minimum text size 5pt on light background
Minumum thickness of the text line needs to be 0,12mm.
When printing lines in a solid or dark colour, make sure they are no thinner than 0.5pt. If you're using a lighter colour, we recommend 1pt.
In general, we suggest avoiding borders, as they can come out lopsided or uneven. Although if you want to use a border, we recommend extending it at least 2mm within the safe area. This is to make sure that any inaccuracy during the cutting process is less noticeable.

Images and colors

Colour and black-and-white images must have a resolution of at least 300dpi.
To make sure your design prints as expected flatten transparencies and turn off overprint
